HOW DOES IT WORK?
HOW TO REACH YOUR GOAL
We design a custom calendar based on your fundraising goal. Below are the most common styles:
Progressive is when each day slowly has a higher dollar value. For example, the first day of the month is $1, the 2nd is $2, etc. This is the most common style.
Fixed is when every day has the same value. This is a good option that guarantees everyone will have the ability to donate at least $10, where the lower amounts on a progressive calendar could be taken first.

How much can I raise?
It is completely up to you - we can set up your calendars however you like, which when combined with the number of participants, will give us a fairly accurate estimate on how much can be raised.
Each participant will typically raise about $500 (based on the typical $1 progressive calendar), so a participant size of 100 averages around $50,000 in about three weeks. We can increase this to meet higher goals if needed, simply by increasing your calendar values.
Keep in mind that the donor can select one or multiple days, so they have the ability to customize their actual donation amount this way.
Play with our estimator here to see how much you can raise.
How much does it cost?
You pay us nothing. Upon disbursement at the end of your campaign, we send you a check for the total amount raised minus a 9.75% fee to cover our merchant & platform costs.
Donors have the option to cover this fee when making their donation, and usually do so to help the participant and because the small amount is trivial. While it's possible to receive 100% of your donations this way, on average donors will include the fee with their donation about 90% of the time, so your fee is closer to 1%. This means more funds go towards your campaign.
How long does it last?
It is up to each organization, but we recommend no more than 3-4 weeks.
Do participants have to collect the money?
No. Once a donor contributes to a date, it goes directly to a general account. Participants never have to reach out to collect the money. Once the campaign is complete, a check is sent to the organization with a report showing how much was raised, and the amount raised by each participant.
Are there any sales involved?
No. That is another benefit of this platform. Participants do not have to sell in front of store fronts, go door-to-door, or worry about being turned down. They simply paste their unique URL on social media, or share via email or text to family and friends for a more personable experience.
How much work is required from the leader of the organization?
Very little. There are two ways we can set you up - the choice is yours.
You provide us with a list of participant's first & last names - that's it! If you're not sure if some will be participating, provide us with their name anyway so we can set up their calendar. That way, it is available for them if they want to participate, and there is no harm if they don't. We will in turn provide you with a list of each participant's unique URL which you will share with your organization so they can share their URLs on social media. This typically takes about 24 hours to get everyone added to our system.
Pro: We set up everyone's profiles at the same time, which means you aren't relying on your participants to do it themselves, and you can start raising funds quicker.
Con: Since we create the profiles, it will be missing the participant's photo and personalized bio. However, you can provide us with your organization's photo or logo along with a short blurb about your org or campaign, and we will use that instead.
We provide you with a sign-up link, which you share with your participants. Your participants access the link to create their profile, where they can upload their photo and write a short bio about themselves and what they are raising funds for.
Pro: This option typically results in a more successful campaign due to the personalized profile page.
Con: Since you are relying on your participants to create their profile in order to get started, some may take longer to do so or may not do it at all.
How soon can we get started?
Your participants can start raising funds within 24 hours.
How is this different than other calendar fundraisers?
The major difference is that our calendar is ALL digital. Once participants have shared their calendar on social media, it can be shared by others, reaching thousands more people.
That means you don't keep up with a paper calendar - no more keeping track of who donated, constantly marking off dates, and collecting and reporting money. Once the date is purchased, the donor's name populates their selected dates and it is no longer available for others.
How is this different than crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding is a way of raising money to finance projects and businesses. It enables fundraisers to collect money from a large number of people via online platforms. Crowdfunding is most often used by startup companies or growing businesses as a way of raising alternative funds.
Some of the ways we are different from a crowdfunding campaign:
- We tailor to organizations to supplement budgets, fund smaller projects, or raise funds for individuals within their org. Crowdfunding is primarily used for startups to raise capital.
- We do all the heavy lifting of getting your org and participants prepared for your campaign. We are here to help before, during, and after. Crowdfunding campaigns are typically set up and managed by you, and you need to be familiar with their platform.
- Our campaigns typically last 3-4 weeks (although this is completely up to you), where a crowdfunding campaign takes about twice as long.
